Thirty photos in thirty days from six photographers.
Heather, I did a little pre-gaming before this whole project started, and spotted a few compositions I wanted to make. One is of freeways like that in Portland... Now I feel like I can't do it without biting your compositions. Damn you! *shakes fist*
It's open season on freeways, baby. It has been ever since the day broody photographers got tired of shooting flowers. Go out and get em!
By which I mean, nice work Heather. Looking good.
Thanks Kris. I have had my eye on the MacArthur maze (the tangle where three freeways come together near the Bay Bridge) since moving right underneath it practically. It is super duper low-hanging fruit because I can be so close to the columns and walk under the passes and and just look at all the crazy geometry and negative space. Blah blah blah, structure porn. What I haven't done is dive into the study and actually do it any justice. I started finding some sweet shit last night, though, and now I have to go back and reapproach it with some big ol black and white film with some lovely grain.
I'm loving the creative use of children around here. Also, I want a Poetree.
I also would like a Poetree. Will a Poe-shrub work, I wonder?
Andrew Moore, I gotta know who lives here.
